At GymPledge, we believe accountability should be simple and transparent. This Privacy Policy explains how we verify your workouts and protect your payment data. We do not sell your data, and we do not track you when you are not using the app.

1. Location Data

The Simple Version

We only check your location when you tap "I'm at the Gym". We do not track you in the background. We do not track where you go after the gym.

How we use it: GymPledge collects location data strictly to verify that your device is within 150 meters of your selected gym facility.

When we collect it: Location services are active only when you have the app open and specifically press the "Check In" button. We do not use background location tracking.

Storage: We do not store a history of your GPS coordinates. We simply store a "Verified" status (Yes/No) on our secure server for that day.

2. Payment Information

Processing: All payments are processed securely by Stripe, a global leader in payment security.

What we see: GymPledge does not see or store your full credit card number. We only receive a secure token from Stripe to initiate the penalty charge if a session is missed.

The Pledge: By using the app, you authorize GymPledge to charge your payment method a fixed penalty (e.g., $10) solely in the event that you fail to check in by the daily deadline (03:00 AM local time).

3. Your Data & Deletion Rights

You are in control

You can wipe your account at any time instantly from the Settings menu.

We retain your schedule and pledge history to track your streaks and enforce penalties. You have the right to delete your account at any time.

How to Delete: Go to Settings > Danger Zone > Stop All Pledges & Delete Data. This action immediately:
