1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using the GymPledge app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to the financial penalties associated with this service, you must uninstall the app immediately.

2. The Financial Pledge

Important: Automatic Charges

You acknowledge that GymPledge is designed to charge you money when you fail to meet your goals.

By scheduling a workout day in the app, you enter into a binding agreement for that specific day:

The Commitment: You agree to physically verify your attendance at your chosen gym location before the daily deadline (03:00 AM local time).
The Penalty: If you fail to verify your attendance by the deadline, you authorize GymPledge (via Stripe) to automatically charge your payment method a penalty fee (e.g., $10.00 USD).
No Refunds: Penalty charges are non-refundable. They are the core function of the service.

3. Location Verification

To verify your attendance, the app requires access to your device's location services. You agree that:

You must be physically located within 150 meters of your designated gym to check in.
You will not use GPS spoofing, VPNs, or other methods to falsify your location. Use of such tools may result in immediate account termination.

4. Disclaimer of Liability

Physical Safety

We are not responsible for your health or safety.

GymPledge provides accountability, not medical advice. You agree that GymPledge is not liable for any injuries, health issues, or accidents that occur while you are traveling to or exercising at the gym.

Furthermore, we are not liable for technical failures (e.g., dead battery, no internet connection) that prevent you from checking in. It is your responsibility to ensure your device is working.

5. Account Termination

You may delete your account and stop all future pledges at any time by using the "Delete Account" feature in the Settings menu. Once deleted, no further charges will be incurred.

6. Contact & Disputes

If you believe a charge was made in error due to a technical bug in the app, please contact us immediately.
