Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Fernan Ochoa ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the Aura: Daily Kabbalah mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

The short version: Almost all data you enter in Aura is stored locally on your device and never sent to our servers. We do not sell your personal information. We do not build advertising profiles. The only third-party service with access to payment-related data is RevenueCat, solely for processing your subscription.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

Name and birthdate — entered during onboarding to calculate your Kabbalistic profile. Stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
Partner name and birthdate — entered optionally for the compatibility feature. Stored locally on your device only.
Journal entries — text you write in the app's journal. Stored locally on your device only.
Notification preferences — your reminder settings. Stored locally on your device only.

Information collected automatically:

Purchase and subscription status — when you subscribe, RevenueCat processes your transaction through Apple's App Store. We receive only your subscription status (active/inactive) and product identifier. We do not receive your payment card details.
Apple anonymized analytics — if you have opted into sharing analytics with developers via your device settings, Apple may share anonymized, aggregated crash reports and usage statistics with us. This does not include personally identifiable information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above solely to:

Calculate and display your personalized Kabbalistic profile, daily content, and compatibility results.
Deliver notifications you have explicitly enabled in the App.
Verify your subscription status to unlock premium features.
Improve the App's stability and performance using anonymized crash data.

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the App.

3. Data Storage and Security

All personal data you enter — your name, birthdate, journal entries, partner profiles, and preferences — is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data is protected by your device's built-in security (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID) and Apple's data protection APIs.

We do not operate servers that store your personal data. Because your data lives only on your device, we cannot access, recover, or delete it remotely. If you delete the App, all locally stored data is permanently removed.

4. Third-Party Services

RevenueCat

We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions. When you make a purchase, Apple processes the payment and RevenueCat receives a transaction receipt to verify your subscription status. RevenueCat may collect a device identifier for fraud prevention. RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.

Apple App Store

All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple's privacy policy governs how they handle payment information. We never receive your credit card or payment details.

5. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Because your data is stored locally on your device, you have full control:

Access and deletion: You can view and delete all your data directly within the App settings, or by deleting the App from your device.
Notifications: You can enable or disable all reminders in the App settings or in your device's system settings at any time.
Subscription: You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

7. Data Retention

Your data persists on your device until you delete it within the App or uninstall the App. Subscription status information managed by RevenueCat is retained per their own retention policy.

8. International Users

The App is operated from Mexico. If you are using the App from outside Mexico, please be aware that your information (to the extent any is transmitted, such as to RevenueCat) may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
